Our Firm is remaining open during this crisis to meet the legal needs of our clients. However, we have made a number of changes. Our staff is mostly working remotely. We are cleaning the office after every meeting in the office. And, we are offering our clients online options to meet with us so they do not need to travel to our offices to take care of their legal needs.
The Connecticut Courts are remaining open during this time as well. However, at present they are only hearing high priority matters in person. All other matters are will be heard during an online court session.
While the courts were not hearing matters for months, that time is over. They are now working through the backlog. The majority of all cases are being heard online for now. The courts have also eliminated the short calendar system and have instituted a case date system for hearing cases to limit the amount of people that would be in court on a given day. For now these case dates are taking place online.
